Instructions for Small Group Work
Review two assigned essentials I-VIII, the outlined competencies, and curriculum content.  (Essential IX, Baccalaureate Generalist Practice competencies/curricular content will be discussed later in an afternoon session by all groups)  Each group will answer the  questions for their assigned essentials in relation to all new graduates of Baccalaureate programs: (on gray handout in packet)

Small Group Work: Essentials I - VIII

12:00 – 12:15 pm
Break and Transfer of Work
Recorders/reporters will transfer their electronic files from the work of their small group work sessions to the AACN computer

12:15 – 1:00 pm
Lunch (Box Lunch Provided)

1:00 – 2:15 pm
Presentation by Reporters and Discussion of Reports
Reports should be limited to five minutes or less to allow for discussion.

2:15 – 2:30 pm

Small Group Work: Essential IX
Baccalaureate Generalist Practice Essential– small group work will be done by all groups to review the description and articulation of expected competencies for baccalaureate generalist practice and answer the questions: (on yellow handout in packet)

3:30 – 3:45 pm
Break and Transfer of Work
Recorders/reporters will transfer their electronic files from the work of their small group work sessions to the AACN computer

3:45 – 5:00 pm
Presentation by Reporters and Discussion of Reports
Reports should be limited to five minutes or less to allow for discussion.

Each small group will focus on the two assigned questions and if time allows, each group will answer question 9:

Small Group Work on Assigned Clinical Education Questions

10:15 – 10:30 am
