Tenure-track Positions

Northwestern College invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Nursing beginning August 2008.

  • Adult Health Instructor teaching adult health/critical care courses with advanced practice opportunities in the College’s Wellness Center. 
  • Mental Health Instructor teaching mental health nursing and/or selected senior-level nursing courses.

For both positions a Ph.D. or ABD in Nursing or a related field is preferred, but a Masters would be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in BSN and/or MSN programs and/or 1. Clinical practice as an ARNP or 2. Recent clinical practice.

Private, co-ed liberal arts college on 100-acre campus in Orange City, Iowa. Approximately 1350 students and 78 full-time faculty. The successful candidate will have a strong Christian faith and a commitment to Christian liberal arts. Northwestern College is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America but open to student and faculty of other orientations.  Two-term calendar, solid contemporary curriculum. Ranked as a top-10 Midwestern comprehensive college by U.S. News & World Report magazine.
