May 2008       Assistant Professor Positions The University of Massachusetts, Amherst School of Nursing invites applications for 2 full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty positions (nine month appointment) beginning September 1, 2008. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The School of Nursing is seeking an individual with expertise in the following area: Women's Health (R30549) Responsibilities include: Teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs Academic advising of students Scholarship and research activities Community and academic service activities Participating in school and university committees Minimum qualifications include: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related discipline Nurse applicants must be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts Certification in a specialty area is desirable Track record of publications and presentations Experience in teaching and online education preferred Psychiatric/ Mental Health (R30551) Responsibilities include: Teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs Academic advising of students Scholarship and research activities Community and academic service activities Participation in school and university committees Minimum qualifications include: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related discipline Nurse applicants must be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts Certification in a specialty area is desirable A track record of publications and presentations Experience in teaching and online education preferred Review of applications will begin January 30, 2008 and continue until the position is filled.
