Nursing, Visiting Assistant Professor

Arkansas Tech University is a multi-purpose, state-supported institution of higher education offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department of Nursing offers NLNAC accredited BSN, on-line RN to BSN, and a new MSN program in Nursing Administration and Emergency Management.

The department seeks a full-time faculty member for a non tenure-track classroom, on-line, and/or clinical teaching position to begin Fall 2008.

The department also seeks part-time faculty for on-line and clinical teaching positions.

Required qualifications include:

  • a master's degree in nursing
  • a minimum of one year of clinical experience
  • and computer literacy
  • a PhD in nursing or related field is preferred
  • successful applicants must have an Arkansas nursing license (or must be eligible)

Additional duties include student advising and committee work. Experience in medical-surgical nursing, critical care, gerontology, and/or management preferred.
