Faculty Positions

The Department of Nursing at Huntington University is seeking two full-time, 9-month, tenure-track medical/surgical positions to begin January, 2009. Huntington University is an evangelical Christian liberal arts university of the United Brethren in Christ Church. The University has approximately 1,000 students, 62 faculty and is a member of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. The Department of Nursing offers a bachelors of science in nursing degree.

Initial responsibilities will include assisting with the development of a state-of-the-art simulation lab, setting up curriculum, and assisting in the organization of the nursing program. Subsequent responsibilities will include teaching both in the classroom and clinical setting, student advisement, continued curriculum overview, and participation in the functions of the University.

Faculty positions are also sought in the specialty fields of mental health, pediatrics, OB, and community health.

Potential faculty must hold a masters degree in nursing, doctorate preferred, from an accredited institution. They must hold or be eligible to hold an unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the State of Indiana. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory background checks and educational credential verification.
