Oncology Faculty Position
The Search
The University of Kansas School of Nursing invites applications
and nominations for the Oncology Faculty position. The School
seeks qualified faculty applicants interested in becoming part
of an exciting environment that offers strong research, academic
and clinical practice support. Located within the University of
Kansas Academic Medical Center, the School collaborates with Centers
on Cancer, Aging, Environmental Health, Telehealth, and Reproductive
Services and presents abundant opportunities for inter-professional
research. The well-established Center for Life Sciences in Metropolitan
Kansas City (http://www.kclifesciences.org)
provides support and opportunities for collaborative research
across several institutions. The School also houses the National
Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and the inter-professional
Center for Healthcare Informatics. The School holds a key role
with the University of Kansas as a leading institution in the
utilization and study of complexity sciences, both as applied
to clinical practice and to its utilization in leading organizations

The University of Kansas, School of Nursing is seeking

Associate, and Professor levels starting July 1, 2008. Specific
areas of need include pediatrics, oncology, and organizational
leadership. The School's research emphasis areas are Health Behavior
and Symptom Management Research and Clinical and Organizational
Systems Research. The school also houses the National Center for
Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and Center for Healthcare Informatics.
Location in an Academic Medical Center with Centers
on Aging, Cancer, Environmental Health, Telehealth, and Reproductive

Qualifications include master's degree in nursing
with expertise in specialty area and eligibility for licensure
to practice nursing in Kansas. Doctoral degree in nursing or related
field and teaching experience is preferred. Duties include didactic
and/or clinical teaching of nursing students. Opportunities to
