Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Nursing

Mount Mercy College is a private, coeducational, Catholic institution with strong professional and liberal arts programs, located on a 40-acre hilltop in an attractive residential neighborhood. The Nursing department seeks a nursing education professional to begin with the Fall 2008 term. This position is a nine-month, full-time appointment with responsibilities including theoretical and clinical teaching in addition to non-teaching duties.

A doctoral preparation in nursing is highly preferred, with a master of nursing degree required. Teaching experience at graduate and baccalaureate level with expertise in medical-surgical or pediatric nursing is preferred. The rank and salary of this position will be commensurate with academic preparation and professional experience of the successful candidate.

The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy's mission, which is a Catholic college providing student-focused baccalaureate and graduate education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.
