Dean, School of Nursing, Bouvé College of Health Sciences
Northeastern University School of Nursing is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field with a master’s degree in nursing; a demonstrated history of scholarship; in-depth understanding of undergraduate and graduate education; recognition for outstanding regional and/or national leadership; dedication to education, scholarship and service; commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration; sophisticated organizational and interpersonal communication skills; understanding of global issues and commitment to urban health; and eligibility for licensure in the state of Massachusetts. The person who holds the position of Dean of the School of Nursing also holds the position of Associate Dean in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Bouvé College of Health Sciences (BCHS) comprises the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy, and the School of Health Professions. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The School of Nursing is located in Boston, Massachusetts and has BSN, RN to MS, MS, and PhD in Nursing programs. The University and the School are nationally recognized as leaders in cooperative education. The vision of the College and School is to be the national model for health sciences education and a leader in translational and interdisciplinary research with a focus on urban health. The Dean will provide leadership for the School of Nursing including curriculum development, teaching, and support of a strong faculty research program. The Dean will contribute service to the School, College, University, and profession and represent Bouvé College and the School of Nursing nationally and on nursing related boards, commissions, and associations.

Northeastern University School of Nursing invites letters of interest from doctorally prepared candidates for future positions in adult health, psychiatric mental health, and pediatrics.

The School of Nursing was among the first in the nation to implement a community-based undergraduate curriculum and continues to collaborate with a network of Boston community agencies to provide education and conduct research. Distinguished Interdisciplinary Faculty
Northeastern University is seeking Nursing Research Scholars to join other new health science researchers. A new PhD program in nursing focused on urban and underserved populations provides exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary studies.
