Required qualifications:

  • Completed PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing or Doctorate in a related field by date of hire
  • Scholarly track record consistent with the rank sought (Associate or Full Professor) at the University of Northern Colorado
  • Record of teaching in undergraduate and graduate nursing education
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience
  • Experience with online education
  • Eligible for nursing licensure in Colorado

Position Description: Associate or Full Professor of Nursing. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-eligible appointment in the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities will include Institute leadership, scholarly activity, classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate /graduate curriculum, and service on school and university committees. Coordinator will have support resources including a grant writer, doctoral fellow, stipend for conference travel and research start- up support.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include health, life, and dental insurance as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Tuition Grants for employee and Dependents: Dependents and Spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as .5 FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. Other benefits may be available based on position.
