Clinical Education Specialist

Clinical Education Specialist

Responsible for identifying, assessing, and meeting the clinical education requirements and needs of clinical staff throughout the organization. Collaborate, consult and partner with units, departments, and managers to develop educational programs and instructional modules, coordinate Education Committees, evaluate new employee Core Curriculum classes, create on-going processes to in-service staff on new/revised policies, participate in Patient/Family Education Program, and support unit based nursing research. 

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with BSN required, Master’s in Nursing/Education with CNS emphasis preferred. Must have a minimum of 4 years’ nursing experience in area of expertise, State of Connecticut RN license, and BLS-C. PALS certification within 6 months from hire required, BLS, PALS Instructor highly preferred. Must have knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles and the ability to work weekends and off-shifts to meet the educational needs of all staff.
