No formal evaluation plan. However, the brochure is very popular and

of different nursing jobs, and "stories" about nurses. Evaluation

national web site information is challenging, slower than we would like and requires

initiative: High school student survey. Contact
Person: Roxanne Wilson at Wilson@centracare.com
or Jean Robley at djrobley@rea-alp.com
Timeframe/Target

is in development. High school seniors. Partners/Funders:
St. Cloud Hospital, Minnesota Colleagues in Caring Message:
What are the factors that influence a student to choose/not choose a health
care career? What types of education are sought? Where do students get information
about nursing programs? What do students intend to accomplish? What age group
would they like to work with? Evaluation of effectiveness:
The hospital that helped to fund it has used the findings extensively through
continuing ed for staff to encourage nurses to think of every interaction with
families as an opportunity to demonstrate a positive role model. Lessons
learned: Schools are inundated with surveys and are reluctant to do more,
need to coordinate occupational surveys with state agency for education, need
to closely coordinate this with schools to find best time to do surveys. URL
