Healthquest 2000
An informational health fair for students in high school who have expressed an interest in entering a health career. Held in conjunction with the regional hospital association.

Timeframe/Target population:
Once annually/high school students

Partners/Funders:
The educational institution and the hospital association cosponsoring the event. Vendor groups such as hospitals, health care agencies, other companies, other educational programs.

Message:
There are many exciting and high tech careers out there in health care. And positions are available.

Evaluation of effectiveness:
Unknown.

Lessons learned:

• Need to develop a way to effectively track students who come to this program to see if they pursue a health career.
• Must have a lot of help and interaction to pull an event off like this. If you do not have good people internally, the event will fail.
• We have a very high-powered well-known guest speaker for the event. Must have contingency plans in the event that speaker cannot come to the event.
