The history of the nursing profession is integrally tied to the role of nurses in the military. However, the personal experiences of these heroic nurses are often untold. It is through the finding and sharing of these stories that the magnitude and courage of their professional acts can be made visible, thereby enhancing the nation's image of nursing.

Schools of Nursing Best Practices
For our 2005 conference, we are expanding the opportunity for you to showcase your school's Best Practices:

Best Practices Exhibit - March 18
Bring along the best ideas and materials that have worked for your school. These may include newsletters (printed and/or electronic), websites, stewardship materials, direct mailings, campaign materials, or a special event that facilitated successful stewardship and fund-raising. If you have enough items to share with others, please bring them along. This is a great networking opportunity, so be prepared to represent your school and share with others your successes.

Best Practices Centerpieces - March 18-19
Tired of sitting at a dull conference table? Then let's liven them up! Showcase your school's best practice by displaying a "family of items" that feature successful marketing efforts, development campaigns, planned giving communications, stewardship programs, alumni programs, or all of the above. Engage others throughout the conference by sharing your successes.

Instructions for Best Practices Exhibit and Best Practices Centerpieces
In order to have the materials ready for display by 12:00 noon on Friday, March 18, please plan to arrive at the conference no later than 11:30 a.m. to place your materials for the Exhibit and/or the Centerpiece Display. If you need to have items shipped, please send them directly to yourself at the Fairmont Hotel (or at the hotel in which you plan to stay). A bellman can help you transport the materials from the lobby or your room to the conference room location.
