Charge:

Create parameters, develop an application and screening process, and recruit partnerships for pilot/demonstration projects (partnership has to include dean, nurse executive from affiliated practice setting; may include partners from institutions offering only the baccalaureate in nursing, curriculum leader from master's program, multiple practice partners)

Develop guidelines for observers attending meetings regarding the CNL implementation process.

Develop draft curricular parameters based on CNL White Paper and solicit input from the participating partners. (at June meeting)

Develop a draft of the practice environment parameters including role expectations for CNL and solicit input from the partnerships. (At June meeting)
-
Orient the education and practice partners to the evaluation expectations. (including educational and patient outcomes, both formative and summative)

Develop and implement a monitoring process to ensure accountability to project goals.

Recommend approaches for a long term steering committee to continue implementation and evaluation of pilot/demonstration projects.

Provide ongoing reports to the AACN Board and membership.
