Advocacy Opportunities

Advance Directives
As healthcare leaders, you know and appreciate the importance of establishing advance directives and the problems that arise when patients and families have not taken the time to consider their "end-of-life" options. These are issues that affect all of us.
National Healthcare Decisions Day will occur on April 16, 2008. The purpose of this day is to heighten awareness of the need for advance directives among beneficiaries, employees, employers, professionals and the healthcare industry in general; ultimately to raise the levels of completed directives. http://www.nationalhealthcaredecisionsday.org/takeaction/organize_community.
