Based on a 1999 AACN survey of schools of nursing with entry-level baccalaureate nursing programs, the report describes the women's health content included in entry-level baccalaureate nursing curricula. This report was published in collaboration with five federal agencies, including the Health Resources and Services Administration's Office of Women's Health, the National Institutes of Nursing Research, and the Division of Nursing.

  • Envisioning Doctoral Education for the Future ($12)

    This publication contains presentations from AACN's 2001 Doctoral Education Conference, held in Sanibel Island, Florida. Presentation topics include clinical nursing leadership, models of fast-track doctoral programs, a discussion on the degrees of doctor of philosophy (PhD) and doctor of nursing science (DNSc), and re-envisioning doctoral programs in nursing.

  • Faculty Practice: Essential or Extraneous to the Mission? ($12)

This publication contains presentations from AACN's 2000 Faculty Practice Conference, held in San Francisco. Presentation topics included application of service learning, integrating faculty practice and research, a conceptual overview of faculty practice and research, and implications of service-learning for nursing education.

This publication contains presentations or portions of presentations from AACN's 1999 Master's Education Conference. Presentations focused on such topics as distance education, setting a framework for a quality MSN program, and guidelines for assessing quality.

  • Hallmarks of Scholarly Nursing Practice ($10)

    This monograph is the proceedings of AACN's 1999 Faculty Practice Conference. Included are a special report on faculty evaluation, and presentations that deal with a dean’s perspective on funding faculty practice, and distinguishing features and guiding principles of scholarly practice. A total of twelve presentations are offered.
