The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) has launched a new accreditation process for post-baccalaureate nurse residency programs. In 2004, the CCNE Board of Commissioners appointed a task force to develop accreditation standards to be used in the accreditation of post-baccalaureate nurse residency programs in acute care settings. The standards are now complete, as are the formal policies and procedures guiding the accreditation process. CCNE will conduct its first on-site review for accreditation of nurse residency programs in fall 2009. Please look through the pages below for additional information.
