Director of Nursing
Lees-McRae College seeks a Director of Nursing. This position will be responsible for the daily operation, organization, administration, general effectiveness, and supervision of the Nursing Program at Lees-McRae College as well as the RN-BSN program delivered through Extended Campus and online. This individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to developing quality academic programs. Strategic planning, development, and accreditation work for nursing program is required. Key accountabilities will include program leadership, faculty/staff supervision, clinical management, budget management and fundraising, professional development, teaching, compliance, and assessment.
Requirements include Ph.D. in Nursing from an accredited college or university including course work in nursing, education or administration; current NC nursing license; minimum 3-years experience in an administrative position; minimum 3-years of experience teaching in Pre or Post licensure nursing programs; minimum 3-years experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care; excellent oral and written communications skills; highly organized, and detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task.
