Multiple Clinical Educator Openings
Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor (dependent on qualifications).
The University of Michigan School of Nursing seeks individuals for clinical track faculty positions in a new educational approach to integrate education, practice and research, the Clinical Initiative on Excellence. These exciting positions require innovative thinking and actualizing a model that fosters integration of faculty from the School of Nursing with our colleagues at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). These positions are full-time 9-month faculty in the School of Nursing on the clinical track faculty and fully embedded at UMHS working with students and staff in practice.
Particular Interest Areas:
General Medical Surgery/Complex-Care; Maternity Nursing; Pediatrics.
The clinical educators hired will have a demonstrated high level of competence in advanced clinical practice. We are seeking applications from experienced clinicians who want to blend teaching, practice and scholarship. Applicants will be considered for all market titles listed above, depending on experience and scholarly productivity. Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in the advanced clinical practice role. Diversity is highly valued and applications from members of groups underrepresented in nursing are encouraged.

Qualifications (dependent on market title):
- Master’s degree is required, doctorate preferred in nursing or highly related field
- A current Michigan nursing license required.
- Demonstrate high level competence in advanced clinical practice; Excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills; Desire work that engages in the educational mission, with progressive successful mastery of teaching skills, and developing scholarly activities
