The Sly Endowed Professorship
The University of Virginia School of Nursing is pleased to announce its search for the Madeline Higginbotham Sly Professorship in Nursing. The professorship, established in 2000 through a generous gift from a distinguished alumna, will support the work of an eminent nurse scientist interested in working with students and faculty to develop research in a specialty area. Applicants’ focus areas might include acute or chronic care, public and rural health, pediatrics, adult, geriatrics or health care systems (#0605928).
Senior level tenured, tenure-track faculty position (established researcher)
The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks faculty members with extensive research experience in areas including, but not limited to acute and critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, oncology, palliative care, diabetes care, public and rural health, health disparities, nursing health services research, complementary and alternative therapies and nursing history. Applicants should have well-established programs of research and a commitment to conducting externally funded research, as well as exceptional teaching skills. Junior level tenured, tenure-track faculty position (developing researcher)
The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks developing faculty researchers with a strong research trajectory in areas including, but not limited to geriatrics, women’s health, pediatrics, oncology, palliative care, diabetes care, public and rural health, health disparities, nursing health services research, complementary and alternative therapies and nursing history. Successful applicants will have a solid beginning research foundation and a commitment to externally funded research (#0610613).
General track faculty positions
The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks faculty with strong clinical and classroom teaching experience in a variety of specialty areas. Responsibilities include lecturing and on-site clinical supervision. Preference will be given to individuals with an Acute Care NP certification and/or license as well as a commitment to quality and excellence in interdisciplinary learning environments (#0606686).
