Assistant Professor of Nursing

The University of Southern Maine's School of Nursing invites applications for two full-time, nine month faculty appointments at the assistant professor rank in a tenure track position.  Candidates with significant progress toward their doctoral degree will be considered. Successful candidates must be able to teach across the undergraduate and graduate curriculums within the candidate’s area of expertise.

Expertise in advanced practice as a psychiatric mental health, adult/gero, and/or family nurse practitioner is preferred.

Qualifications: Required: A completed doctorate or near completion (capstone experience/dissertation phase) of doctoral education and Master’s Degree in Nursing by time of appointment.  Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in the state of Maine. Preferred:  Certification (or eligible for certification) as an Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience. Evidence of scholarly productivity and university level teaching experience.  Evidence of commitment to diversity, student success and active learning, and community engagement.
