Associate/Full Professor and Director of the Center for Health Innovations–Position F7809z
A full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Associate/Full Professor to lead the development of and direct a new Center for Health Innovations. This position is a key component of the school’s strategic goal to become a research intensive academic unit within the College of Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and health research, an established competitive program of research with a track record of extramural funding, a record of scholarship, and evidence of teaching ability. The school seeks candidates with research programs that link with current school initiatives in chronic illness and disability, geriatrics, health promotion/disease prevention, behavioral health, or sleep disorders.
Research Assistant/Associate Professor–Position F8130z
A full-time, nine-month, term (nontenure-track) or tenure/tenure-track, Research Assistant or Associate Professor to assist faculty and students in proposal development, research methods, data collection, and analysis. This new position was created to support the school’s efforts to become a research-intensive academic unit. The successful candidate will provide leadership and vision for nursing research in the school; teach related statistics and methods courses; direct and serve on dissertation and practice inquiry committees; participate in committees and school governance activities; and engage in scholarship and service. Experience in obtaining extramural funding and teaching are essential, with preference for individuals with an established record of scholarship and experience that links with current school initiatives in chronic illness and disability, geriatrics, health promotion/disease prevention, behavioral health, or sleep disorders.
Assistant Professors–Position F8207z
Two full-time, tenure-track, nine-month, Assistant Professor positions to support the teaching, research, and service missions of the school. The applicant is expected to have a strong program of research, with a history of, or strong likelihood of research funding. Research programs that link with current initiatives and research teams in chronic illness and disability, geriatrics, health promotion/disease prevention, behavioral health, or sleep disorders are particularly desirable.
Postdoctoral Research Fellowships–Position F7447z
Two full-time, 12-month, mentored Postdoctoral Research Fellowship positions to begin summer 2013. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate sleep and sleep disorders and their interactions with neurobehavioral symptoms such as cognitive and functional decline, and other comorbid medical symptoms and conditions such as pain, Alzheimer’s disease, and cardiovascular disease. The opportunity may involve development and testing of innovative interventions to mediate and treat sleep problems and sleep disorders, and their consequences, in various age groups and populations.
