Assistant professor - Tenure Track

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Nursing, DNSc, DPH, EdD, or PhD in related discipline by July 1, 2013. Must have at least one graduate degree in Nursing. Eligibility for Ohio Nursing license as a registered nurse. Demonstrated successful experience in teaching and research. Broad clinical and academic competence in Medical Surgical, Obstetric, and/or Pediatric Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Record of scholarship in nursing practice and/or nursing education that supports the undergraduate and graduate nursing curriculum and grant development; demonstrated commitment to nursing as a profession; teaching experience with positive evaluations; evidence of participation in nursing organizations at a leadership level. Robust research agenda with demonstrated success with publication and funding.

Duties

Teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in nursing, including web-based courses and clinical/practicum courses; developing web-based courses; carrying on an active research program in nursing; engaging in grant writing; participation in community and university service.

Letter of application; current curriculum vitae, and at least three letters of recommendation sent under separate cover. Written letters from references are required prior to campus interviews. The Interview process will include a demonstration of teaching competency. Candidates with teaching experience should include teaching evaluations or reviews. Hiring is contingent on maintaining existing levels of funding from the State of Ohio.
