Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University invites applications for two faculty positions available for Fall 2013. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience. The candidate will preferably demonstrate expertise with adult health or nurse practitioner (family or acute care) but specialty background in pediatrics, maternal-child health or mental health will also be considered.
The successful candidates' primary responsibilities will be individualized. The responsibilities may include teaching across undergraduate (pre-licensure and RN-BSN) and graduate (MSN) curricula, as well as serving on College/University committees, and participating in official activities of the College and University. Faculty will be expected to contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession and higher education through scholarship and research.
The College of Nursing is a dynamic college within Mercer University, and is located in a beautiful facility on a 300 acre, wooded campus in Atlanta. Mercer University's traditional campus is located approximately 100 miles south of Atlanta in Macon, Georgia. The College of Nursing enjoys affiliations with most of the health care agencies within a 50 mile radius of the campus.

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited university/college is required. Earned doctorate in nursing or a related discipline is highly desirable. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an unencumbered Georgia RN license and preferably advanced practice certification in Georgia. Baccalaureate and graduate teaching experience with a proven record of distinguished teaching and scholarship is preferred. Curriculum development experience in graduate education and/or online teaching experience is desirable.
