Teaching emphasis is in the Masters of Science of Nursing/Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs and in Family Nurse Practitioner coursework with a focus on adult and geriatric content. Requires Doctor of Philosophy or Doctorate of Nursing Practice, national certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult, Geriatric or Family populations. Colorado RN and Advanced Practice Nurse in Colorado, and eligibility for prescriptive authority required. Two years minimum professional nursing clinical experience as an APN required; clinical preceptor skills preferred.
