Assistant professor, healthcare systems leadership
A full-time tenure track position in the graduate nursing program is available for an enthusiastic individual who is experienced in healthcare leadership and passionate about sharing knowledge with future nursing leaders. Lewis University’s graduate nursing program is growing and dynamic with the introduction of a new DNP program, new core MSN curriculum and health systems leadership track courses. This position offers the candidate an opportunity to join a creative faculty, to develop a program of research and to explore new teaching methodologies.
Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of nursing practice degrees in an environment of personalization, with small class sizes and individualized attention to students. The MSN program is offered in an accelerated format to meet the unique needs of the working professional nurse. Selected courses and programs are offered both online and face-to-face. Multiple locations throughout the northern Illinois area include on-site programs at area healthcare organizations and at the Lewis campuses in Oak Brook, Tinley Park, Hickory Hills, Chicago, Shorewood and Romeoville. The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
- PhD, or EdD, DNP, or doctoral candidate, in nursing or related field
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Experience in progressively responsible healthcare leadership positions
- Excellence in teaching in the academic or service setting
- Eligibility for Illinois licensure
- The equivalent of two years of full time clinical nursing required
