Full-time faculty positions- bsn program
National University (NU) is the second-largest, private, nonprofit institution of higher learning in California. Founded in 1971, NU consists of five schools and one college, including the Schools of Business and Management; Education; Engineering, Technology and Media; Health and Human Services; Professional Studies; and the College of Letters and Sciences. NU campuses are located throughout California and Nevada.
POSITIONS: Multiple positions in all clinical specialties for the BSN program
LOCATIONS: San Diego, Los Angeles, and Fresno, California
EFFECTIVE DATE: Open until filled
A master’s degree in Nursing or related field is required; a minimum of two years clinical care experience; teaching experience in a nursing education program; eligible for a current and unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license and a clear background check and drug screen. Successful candidates may be at junior, mid-career or senior levels of development.
Terminal degree (ABD considered); teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing education program for both theory and clinical labs; record of published research and evidence of a current research agenda is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to achieving exceptional student learning, participation in shared faculty governance, and the Department's vision/mission to advance health through community engagement and partnerships.
Teach primarily undergraduate courses as assigned (some opportunities for graduate level teaching), facilitate student learning to achieve course learning outcomes; provide academic leadership to adjunct faculty in specialization; lead continuous quality improvement of curriculum and teaching effectiveness; scholarship commensurate with academic rank; apply for internal and/or external funding to support research/creative activity and/or student learning; advise undergraduate and graduate students; serve on Department, School, and University committees.
