Full-time faculty positions- Graduate Nursing
National University (NU) is the second-largest, private, nonprofit institution of higher learning in California. Founded in 1971, NU consists of five schools and one college, including the Schools of Business and Management; Education; Engineering, Technology and Media; Health and Human Services; Professional Studies; and the College of Letters and Sciences. NU campuses are located throughout California and Nevada.
POSITIONS: Two graduate faculty positions with specialization in nursing informatics or administration to teach in MSN and DNP programs
LOCATIONS: San Diego, California
EFFECTIVE DATE: Open until filled
A doctoral degree in Nursing or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution is required; teaching experience in a doctoral nursing education program; record of scholarly activity; evidence of or eligibility for a current and unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license and a clear background check and drug screen. Successful candidates may be at mid-career or senior levels of development.
Ability to develop and maintain a research agenda as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications; teaching experience that includes online and web-enhanced formats. Candidates should also demonstrate commitment to achieving exceptional student learning at the graduate level, participation in shared faculty governance, and commitment to the Department's vision/mission to advance health through community engagement and partnerships.
Teach primarily graduate courses as assigned (some opportunities for undergraduate teaching), facilitate student learning to achieve course learning outcomes; provide academic leadership to adjunct faculty in specialization; lead continuous quality improvement of curriculum and teaching effectiveness; develop and maintain a research agenda as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and external funding; advise graduate students; serve on Department, School, and University committees.
Commensurate with experience and academic rank.
