Assistant Professor in Nursing – Tenure/ Tenure Track
The College of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler is seeking to hire two full-time assistant professors at salary commensurate with experience. Positions are available fall 2013. Review of applications will begin April 1st and the position will remain open until filled.
(a) earned Doctorate in Nursing (PhD preferred); (b) graduate teaching experience preferred; (d) eligible for licensure in Texas; (e) evidence of developing program of research; (f) record of extramural support and current competitive funding preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, (1) primary teaching responsibility in dynamic online master’s and PhD programs; (2) maintaining an active program of scholarship; (3) mentoring and advising students; (4) participating in College and University service.
Tyler is situated approximately 100 miles east of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex amid the beautiful lakes and piney woods of East Texas. With a population of 100,000, Tyler is the regional center for the arts, medical care, finance, and higher education.
