Millikin University invites applicants for the following positions in the School of Nursing:

Tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor, graduate programs

In addition to graduate teaching responsibilities, this individual will coordinate nursing research and project work for students in the DNP and MSN programs. The qualifications for this position include:

  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with an MSN and earned doctorate in Nursing or related field
  • Experience teaching in a DNP or graduate nursing program
  • Strong leadership background
  • Ability to work with students and faculty to facilitate graduate projects in the MSN and DNP
  • Strength in leveraging resources for scholarship support
  • Commitment to teaching, scholarship and service at the university level
  • Ability to work collaboratively to strengthen practice partnerships in the region

The qualifications for this position include:

  • RN, MSN and earned doctorate in Nursing or related field
  • Experience teaching in graduate and/or undergraduate nursing programs
  • Commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service at the university level
  • Commitment to collaboration among diverse nursing and university programs within the university
  • Ability to work collaboratively to strengthen practice partnerships in the region
  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to student learning and success

Assistant Professor, graduate and undergraduate programs

The qualifications for this position include:

  • RN,  MSN and earned doctorate*  in Nursing or related field
  • Ability to teach in diverse clinical areas for undergraduate and graduate studies
  • Commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service at the university level
  • Ability to work collaboratively across complex educational and clinical systems
  • University teaching experience or advanced clinical practice in pediatrics preferred

Candidates holding an MSN will be considered with a commitment to begin doctoral studies within 2 years of employment. Tenure track status requires a terminal doctoral degree. The successful candidates will report to the Director of the School of Nursing.
