Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing
The Department of Nursing at Salisbury University is accepting applications for two tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor positions for Fall 2014.
Teaching, engaging in scholarship and professional development, serving on departmental committees, advising students, and participating in University activities. Utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.
Position 1 - Job Opening 11005
Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field to work in the adult acute care field. Master's degree (hired at rank of instructor) in Nursing will be considered with the expectation that candidate will enroll in and complete a doctoral degree within five years of hire date. Must be a Registered Nurse License in Maryland, or be eligible for such licensure.
Preference given to those with experience in acute care and/or those with current nurse practitioner certification; must be able to teach undergraduate students in classroom and clinical courses.
Position 2 - Job Opening 11006
Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field to work in the community-based interdisciplinary care. Master's degree (hired at rank of instructor) will be considered. For nursing applicants, must hold current Registered Nurse License in Maryland, or be eligible for such licensure.
Specialization in community-based health care with experiences with underserved/vulnerable populations, interdisciplinary practice, emerging technologies to improve health outcomes, and cultural competency. Preference given to those with experience teaching in a doctoral program and/or current certification as a nurse practitioner. Must be able to teach undergraduate students in classroom and clinical courses.
