This position is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, instructing and evaluating the school of nursing program. Responsibilities include hiring, orientation, competency, evaluation, and counseling and provide disciplinary action of staff as required. Also plans, implements and evaluates the total curriculum. The nurse professional addresses faculty and student complaints, questions and concerns within the School of Nursing and acts on behalf of the Director, when appropriate.
- Licensure: Current CT RN License
- Education: Master’s in Nursing required with an emphasis on nursing education. Doctorate in Nursing preferred. CNE a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of nursing education experience and minimum 5 years clinical experience.
- Special Skills: Leadership/management experience with advanced knowledge of principles of education, management and current trends in nursing practice required. Excellent communication and presentation skills
Position is for days: 8AM to 4:30PM with flexibility to meet with faculty and students on off hours and weekend days
