Keene State College invites applications for Director of their Bachelors of Science degree program in nursing. The Director is the academic officer for the program and its innovative curriculum based on the “Nurse of the Future” knowledge, attitudes and skills framework. Working with an experienced and committed faculty, the director has a unique opportunity to leave a mark of excellence on a future generation of nurses. The KSC Nursing program has initial approval from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE). The program is a member of AACN. The Director is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and assurance of state and national programmatic accreditation of the nursing program (http://www.keene.edu/academics/programs/nursing/).
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a sound professional reputation, commitment to excellence in education and teaching, an understanding of the integration of public liberal arts and the profession of nursing and possess strong decision-making skills. A Master’s degree in Nursing plus an earned Doctorate in Nursing or a related field; three to five years of relevant teaching; New Hampshire State Board of Nursing license or eligibility to obtain an RN license in New Hampshire required. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon a satisfactory background check, licensure verification and nursing educator approval from the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing. Position has a start date of July 1, 2014.
