Samuel Merritt University (SMU), located in Oakland, California, has been educating health science practitioners who are committed to making a positive difference in diverse communities since 1909. The University offers an undergraduate degree in nursing; master's degrees in nursing, occupational therapy, and physician assistant; and doctoral degrees in nursing, physical therapy and podiatric medicine.
The School of Nursing welcomes applications for Associate Dean, Pre-licensure Nursing Programs (90% Admin; 10% Teaching).
Requires: Earned doctorate from an accredited institution of higher education. Must have either the doctorate or master’s degree in nursing. Experience and accomplishments consistent with the requirements for academic rank of professor or associate professor. Minimum of three years progressive experience in teaching in baccalaureate and higher degree program(s). Minimum of three years administrative or management experience in nursing higher education. Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in California.
