The School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full time, tenure-track, Assistant/Associate Professor position in Nursing beginning August 2014.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effective teaching (classroom and clinical), scholarship, professional development, service, and advising. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester. The ideal candidate will seek an academic career in a comprehensive college that emphasizes teaching and learning in a teacher-scholar model. Qualifications include an earned doctorate in nursing or related field, a master's degree in nursing, and expertise in a clinical population area. Preference will be given to faculty with experience and education in Community/Public Health Nursing and certified Family Nurse Practitioners and/or Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioners and candidates with faculty experience and a track record of scholarship. Qualified candidates with additional experience in clinical simulation, informatics and/or clinical microsystems, or student-faculty research are urged to apply.

There are 12 full-time nursing faculty lines, approximately 300 undergraduate students, and 40 graduate students. Aspirant goals for nursing include developing enhanced learning experiences through honors, research, global experiences, and interdisciplinary coursework. Nursing programs offered at TCNJ include: BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, and Post-MSN certificate. Masters options include Clinical Nurse Leader and Nurse Practitioner tracks in adult, family, and neonatal.
