Associate Instructor-Nursing Anesthesia
The University of Akron School of Nursing, part of the new College of Health Professions, is a vibrant and diverse learning community. The School is seeking an Instructor to teach in the School's highly ranked Nurse Anesthesia program. The individual will assist the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director in the management of the educational program including administrative, teaching, laboratory, and clinical responsibilities.
The position requires the individuals considered to be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a minimum of five years clinical experience, have evidence of current clinical practice and teaching expertise; have experience working with anesthesia students in the clinical setting; possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills; and have a Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school. The preferred candidate will also possess either a PhD or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited institution.
