Exam Site Registration
It is the responsibility of the program to notify CNC of the test date, site, time and proctor contact information. No more than two dates and proctors are permissible during a testing period. A Site Registration Form is required for each testing period as applicable. Effective July 1, 2013, faculty, and/or instructors (or anyone with a perceived conflict of interest) of CNL education programs may not serve as proctors for the CNL Certification Exam.
The program must select a date within a testing period. If at all possible, test administration should occur between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to insure that technical assistance is available.
The testing agency will send a Proctor Manual along with exam login information to the designated contact at each school with eligible candidates. Effective July 1, 2013, faculty, and/or instructors (or anyone with a perceived conflict of interest) of CNL education programs may not serve as proctors for the CNL Certification Exam. The purpose for the policy change is to avoid a perceived conflict of interest and to comply with national certification program accreditation standards. Each proctor in compliance with all CNL Certification Exam policies and procedures will be paid $50 for their service during the applicable testing period. To receive payment, proctors must submit a W-9 form to CNC (complete the W-9 using the mailing address on file with the IRS). A check will be mailed to the proctor approximately 45 days after the testing period (not exam date). PLEASE NOTE: Payment cannot be issued to an institution, only to individuals.
Online CNL education programs have the option to utilize testing centers provided by the testing agency, Schroeder Measurement Technologies, Inc. To view the list of testing centers go to http://www.isoqualitytesting.com/locations.aspx.
NOTE: Testing centers may be located on a college campus.
Every program must submit to CNC the School of Nursing CNL Education Program Verification Form. This form must be signed by the dean/chief academic officer and received by CNC prior to the school serving as an exam site.
Summary of Resources
NOTE: To enhance the CNL curriculum, designated CNL faculty contacts will receive score reports following each testing period. The reports will show the school’s group average scores by content area in comparison to national average scores along with a report of those sitting for the exam for the first time. The reports will be forwarded to the faculty contact approximately 45 business days after the testing period (not exam date). To maintain confidentiality, CNC will distribute aggregate score reports for programs with a minimum of two examinees.
