Medical residents, graduate nursing students, and social work students engage in joint workshops and not only collaboratively provide care to the elderly, but also learn from the care they give and work toward improving that care. Implementing Interprofessional Education and Research

Hear from colleagues who are active in interprofessional education in a fast-paced abstract format followed by open discussion. Abstracts will exemplify particularly innovative approaches, expansive scope, and successful outcomes.
In group discussion, speakers and participants specifically address pragmatic questions about interprofessional education and research such as:

  • How to resource it?
  • How to work across discipline-specific schedules?
  • How to promote it?
  • How to get faculty to do it?
  • How to move from competition to collaboration?
  • How to secure course credit within the university system?
  • How to implement in the absence of other co-located health professions schools?
  • How to include health care and non-health care disciplines?
