Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Questions are the Answer Campaign
AACN is partnering with AHRQ to advance this multimedia campaign designed to improve communication between patients and clinicians to help make care safer. Free educational tools are available directly from the AHRQ website including waiting room videos, informational brochures, patient notepads, a question builder, and other resources.

Food and Drug Administration Office of Women’s Health
Through the FDA, students and practicing nurses may access a wealth of resources related to women’s health, including Web-based training courses, scientific workshops and meetings, email alerts, and other tools. Free patient educational materials translated into multiple languages is also available, including fact sheets, brochure, and medication booklets.

Partnering to Heal: Teaming Up Against Healthcare-Associated Infection

Developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, this initiative centers on an interactive computer-based video simulation training program. This educational tool helps to advance the goals of the Partnership for Patients, a new public-private partnership that will help improve the quality, safety, and affordability of health care for all Americans. AACN participated in the development and review of this new learning resource on preventing HAIs for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
