HGNI Provides Photographs Depicting Geriatric Care to Nursing Schools
As as member of the Hartford Geriatric Nursing Initiative (HGNI), AACN encourages nursing schools to add more images depicting care for elderly patients to their Web sites. Currently, nursing program Web sites display a disproportionate number of images showing pediatric care and relatively few examples of geriatric care. To support this change, The John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for Geriatric Nursing, another HGNI member, has created a catalog of geriatric nursing photos that schools may use free of charge.
