AACN has gathered some helpful information for you and your family that will make your visit to Vail an unforgettable experience.

Conference Highlights

Many in health care and healthcare education have become discouraged with the workplace and the behaviors they observe. In this three-day workshop, completely alter your philosophies, systems, and approaches to adopt the Reality-Based Rules of the Workplace and become (and encourage others to become) highly valued members of any team. Using Reality-Based techniques, academic executives and all faculty leaders can turn the jobs they already have into the jobs they want by becoming immune to the bullying, drama, and negative attitudes of others. But most importantly, the entire conversation is changed from our asking, “Is it worth it?” to asking, “Am I worth it?” If Reality-Based Rules are adopted by the organization, the answer to that question will be a resounding “Yes!”

Although this popular speaker is returning, the content is new. Don’t miss this opportunity to collaborate with the speaker and colleagues with fresh information and strategies to resolve real-life academic organizational problems, enhance your leadership effectiveness, and improve the productivity of your academic workplace. Each day is devoted to a different aspect of the topic:

  • Monday – Reality-Based Rules of the Workplace
  • Tuesday - Employee Engagement Is Broken and Other Challenges to Conventional Leadership Wisdom
  • Wednesday - Hardwiring Accountability into Your Workforce

Our setting is The Lodge at Vail in charming Vail, Colorado. Bring family and a team of colleagues to enjoy the area’s many attractions and gain valuable leadership strategies. Casual attire is recommended.
