General Information

The CNL Research Symposium, Using Today’s Data to Improve Tomorrow, hosted by the Commission on Nurse Certification, will focus on the CNL’s role in the effective use of data. This is the pre-conference workshop for the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Summit.

CNL research symposium online Registration

The deadline for early registration is January 3, 2014. Late fees will apply to registrations received after November 8. Email messages confirming registration will be sent to all participants. 

The CNL Research Symposium online registration is now closed. Onsite registrations will be accepted.

Hotel Information

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, 11999 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove, California 92840. The special conference room rate is $155 single/double. The cutoff date for reservations at the group rate is December 31, 2013. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 888-421-1442 and request the group rate for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) or CNL Summit. The room block may fill before the deadline, so please make your reservation early.


Transportation

John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA) is located approximately 13 miles from the Hyatt Regency Orange County. The cost of a taxi from this airport to the hotel is approximately $50.00 each way. Super Shuttle is available for ground transportation and costs approximately $10 each way. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located approximately 35 miles from the Hyatt Regency Orange County. The cost of a town car from this airport to the hotel is approximately $110.00 each way. Super Shuttle is available for ground transportation and costs approximately $16 each way.
 

Continuing Education

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.

Contact hours will be awarded to those who attest to attendance at entire sessions and complete the electronic evaluation process after the conference. The CE Certificate will be provided online only after completion of evaluation.


Refund and Cancellation Policy

CNL Research Symposium: Registrations that are canceled before the meeting will be refunded minus a $45 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for no-shows. Submit all requests to AACN Conference Registration via email at conferences@aacn.nche.edu or via fax (202) 785-8320.

CNL Summit: All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by January 3, 2014. A refund of the conference, minus a $150 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date.

No refunds will be granted for requests received after January 3, 2014. Submit all requests to AACN Conference Registration via email at conferences@aacn.nche.edu or via fax (202) 785-8320. Conference registrations are fully transferrable (see Substitution Policy); however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. AACN regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.

AACN reserves the right to cancel this conference and any group activity that does not meet minimal group requirements. Non-refundable airline tickets are the responsibility of the registrant.


Substitution Policy

Registration substitutions are permitted prior to the conference; however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact information.
