The Faculty Development Conference is aimed at those new to the faculty role and those who would like to gain more self-confidence in teaching in baccalaureate and higher degree programs. Program and concurrent sessions address various aspects of the faculty role, creating an active learning environment, clinical teaching and evaluation, and other topics of interest to those who wish to improve their teaching practice. The deadline for early registration is January 24, 2014. Late fees will apply to registrations received after January 24. Email messages confirming registration will be sent to all participants.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Fort Worth, 815 Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. The special conference room rate is $165 single/double. The cutoff date for reservations at the group rate is January 15, 2014. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 800-445-8667 and ask for the group rate for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) or Faculty Development Conference.
The room block may fill before the deadline, so please make your reservation early.
Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport is located approximately 20 miles from the hotel. A taxi is approximately $40 each way. Shuttles are available through Super Shuttle and are approximately $40 each way.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
Contact hours will be awarded to those who attest to attendance at entire sessions and complete the electronic evaluation process after the conference. The CE Certificate will be provided online only after completion of evaluation.
Conference materials will be provided on-site.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by January 24, 2014. A refund of the conference, minus a $150 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date.
No refunds will be granted for requests received after January 24, 2014. Submit all requests to AACN Conference Registration via email at email@example.com or via fax (202) 785-8320. Conference registrations are fully transferrable (see Substitution Policy); however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. AACN regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.
AACN reserves the right to cancel this conference and any group activity that does not meet minimal group requirements. Non-refundable airline tickets are the responsibility of the registrant.
Registration substitutions are permitted prior to the conference; however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact information.
