General Information
The Master's Education Conference examines the role of higher education in preparing nurses for a changing health care and practice environment. Sessions focus on issues and concerns unique to master's education in nursing, particularly advanced practice. This annual conference is designed to meet the needs of deans/directors, academic administrators, and faculty in nursing master's programs, and includes strategies and techniques to improve advanced practice teaching skills, and assisting master's students to assume expanded roles in the health care system and respond to the issues that directly affect advanced practice nursing. Multiple opportunities exist for participants to discuss mutual concerns, offer successful strategies, and share successes via discussions, posters and abstract presentations. The deadline for early registration is February 14, 2014. Late fees will apply to registrations received after February 14. Email messages confirming registration will be sent to all participants.

Hotel Information
The room block will be opened for reservations shortly.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort, 5401 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85250. The special conference room rate is $195 single/double. The cutoff date for reservations at the group rate is February 4, 2014. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 800-222-8733 and ask for the group rate for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) or Master’s Education Conference.
The room block may fill before the deadline, so please make your reservation early.
Transportation
The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is located 12 miles from the hotel. A taxi costs approximately $40 each way. Shuttles are available through Super Shuttle and are approximately $17 each way. Continuing Education
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
Contact hours will be awarded to those who attest to attendance at entire sessions and complete the electronic evaluation process after the conference. The CE Certificate will be provided online only after completion of evaluation.

AACN is dedicated to environmentally responsible practices. Select conference materials for the Master’s Education Conference will be provided online. One week prior to the event, please look for an email with a link to the conference materials.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by February 14, 2014. A refund of the conference, minus a $150 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date.
No refunds will be granted for requests received after February 14, 2014. Submit all requests to AACN Conference Registration via email at conferences@aacn.nche.edu or via fax (202) 785-8320. Conference registrations are fully transferrable (see Substitution Policy); however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. AACN regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.
AACN reserves the right to cancel this conference and any group activity that does not meet minimal group requirements. Non-refundable airline tickets are the responsibility of the registrant.
Substitution Policy
Registration substitutions are permitted prior to the conference; however, conference fees cannot be transferred to other conferences. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact information.
