AACN Joins Effort to Protect Non-Defense Discretionary Funding

As Congress continues to address the challenge of reducing the federal deficit, wide-spread support to protect funding for non-defense discretionary (NDD) programs remains imperative. AACN has joined a wider “NDD community” comprised of nearly 3,000 local, state, and federal organizations collaborating to voice the urgency of a “balanced-approach” toward impending sequestration. Senate LHHS Appropriations Subcommittee Protects Nursing Education and Research Funding

The Senate LHHS Appropriations Subcommittee marked up their Fiscal Year 2013 appropriations bill which approved level funding for the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and a slight increase for the National Institute of Nursing Research.
