NursingCAS Workshop – Pre-GNAP Conference
Coincides with Graduate Nursing Admissions Professionals (GNAP) Conference and the National Student Nursing Association Conference
Reception for all GNAP attendees to follow NursingCAS Workshop
This year’s event will be held at Simmons College, with keynote speaker Dr. Jack Maguire, former Dean of Admission at Boston College (BC) and founder of “Strategic Enrollment Management” theory. During his tenure at BC, Dr. Maguire tripled the number of applications, transforming the quality of the student body and the school’s national reputation.
This free workshop and open house is designed to help schools learn more about how to implement and leverage NursingCAS. Attendees will have the option of taking an operations tour; joining an orientation session for prospective and new NursingCAS users; attending a group outing to a Red Sox baseball game; and attending sessions on diversity recruitment, a product launch preview, how to develop a recruitment plan and strategy, managing a paperless admissions process, and an interactive session on completing an exercise to determine your program’s return on investment by participating in NursingCAS. Also, there will be advanced training on WebAdMIT, the admissions software for NursingCAS.
The event is open to deans, admissions professionals, faculty, IT staff, advisors, registrars, and others engaged in nursing program admission from both prospective and currently participating schools. A reduced hotel rate of $249 at the Hilton Boston Back Bay hotel is available for booking until May 21, and all attendees should register for the event by June 4, 2014.
