Date: September 20, 2013
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 Pm (ET)
Changing demands in our nation’s complex healthcare environment require today’s nurses to be prepared with the highest level of scientific knowledge and practice expertise to assure quality patient outcomes. To meet this need, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is offered to prepare nurses seeking a terminal degree in nursing practice, in any of four advanced practice nursing roles (Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Certified Nurse Midwife).
Join Dr. Katherine Crabtree who will provide an overview of the DNP degree focusing on the history of the program, the DNP curriculum, and the final DNP project. She will also discuss the program delivery options, the clinical component of the DNP degree, and services and financial resources that are available to you to ensure successful completion. Finally, Dr. Crabtree will outline the competencies developed through a DNP program to help you determine if a DNP program is right for you.
