Webinar Overview
Released earlier this year, The Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice was sponsored by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative and represents the collective thinking of six health care professions. With the goal of providing safe, high quality patient-centered care, these competencies provide guidance to faculty looking to move beyond profession-specific education by engaging students in interactive interprofessional learning. Join Dr. Jane Kirschling, AACN President-Elect and nursing dean from the University of Kentucky, to explore the practical aspects for integrating the new core competencies into nursing curricula. Dr. Donna Kern, associate professor at the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and Dr. Susan Meyer, associate dean and professor, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy will also join us to share the cross-disciplinary innovations taking place at their institutions.
