Webinar Overview

Using a panel approach, this Webinar will explore state authorization requirements for distance education programs from multiple perspectives. The presentation will begin with an overview of the Department of Education’s proposed ruling and how some states are moving ahead with their own requirements for schools offering online programs across state borders. Next, there will be a discussion of one university’s experiences and approaches to this issue, followed by the perspective of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. The panel will continue with a discussion of the results of the UPCEA/WCET survey regarding state authorization and the current efforts to create a reciprocity agreement for states to consider. The Webinar will conclude with an opportunity for you to ask specific questions of the panel.
