AACN is proud to support Joining Forces, a national campaign launched by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden to mobilize all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they deserve. This series of free Webinars will showcase innovative approaches to preparing students and nurses to care for service members and veterans.
Through the VA Nursing Academy (VANA), the VA healthcare system partners with nursing schools to provide compassionate, highly educated nurses to look after the health-care needs of the nation's veterans. Join Dr. Mary Dougherty, Director VA Nursing Academy, OOA and three of the designated VANAs to discuss this program and how the schools are integrating content into their programs to address the unique health and wellness challenges of nation’s service members, veterans, and their families.
